Two grants totaling $45,000 will help the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse provide hunger relief and wellness.

The grants are from SEFCU. A $25,000 award will go to CHOW’s Wellness Center, which opened last October. That Center aims to help families achieve healthier lifestyles with nutrition, cooking, and yoga classes, as well as job training.

A $20,000 grant will go to CHOW’s Hunger Relief Program. In 2015 CHOW handed out 1.26 million pounds of food. That’s more than a million meals of emergency food assistance to Broome County residents.
