Some area residents walked the grounds of Binghamton University’s campus to help stomp out hunger in the community.
“I think that a lot individuals in our community don’t have a full view or full understanding of the food insecure individuals in the community. And I think this event helps them understand that, and realize that, and of course give back to them,” said Co-Organizer of CHOW Walk Leslie Cody.
Hundreds of food items and thousands of dollars were raised for the CHOW program at today’s event. Organizers say each dollar donated allows CHOW to bring four meals to the community.
