Tri-Cities Opera is gearing up for another performance that highlights family and sticking together.

“Hansel and Gretel” will be performed at the Tri-Cities Opera Center from November 11-20. The center is located at 315 Clinton Street in Binghamton.

Tri-Cities Opera is also partnering with the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse during this holiday season.

The audience is invited to bring non-perishable food donations to each performance.

Tri-Cities officials say the story of “Hansel and Gretel” ties into the mission of the partnership.

“This opera is all about two kids or a family that doesn’t have a lot of food,” said Director of Production, Cynthia Marino. “Not having a lot to eat isn’t something that’s just on stage, it’s something that affects our community as well. We’re hoping, especially the children who come see it, that you can do something about that”.

Tickets can be bought by going to tricitiesopera.com or by calling 607-772-0440
