The 14th annual Jim “Mudcat” Grant All-star Golf Tournament teed off Thursday at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin.

With over 35 sponsors and about 40 guest celebrities, the tournament is helping to raise money for a slew of local non-profits, including the Broome County Urban league, Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton, Catholic Charities of Broome County and the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse – or CHOW. Many celebrities were more than happy to help out.

“We all need help in some kind of way, whether its foods or funds for clothing whether its for students for scholarships there is a need regardless of what we do and at links is a great avenue for us to do something like this.’ said Booker Edgerson,  fromer Buffalo Bills Cornerback.

Proceeds are also going toward eliminating veteran homelessness in Broome County.
