Madrigal Choir to host ‘Messiah’ sing-a-long

The Madrigal Choir of Binghamton will present Handel’s “Messiah” as a sing-along at 3 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, 44 Main St. in Binghamton. Anyone can join the choir; no rehearsals involved. Bring a score or borrow one from the choir. The program will feature part two of the “Messiah,” and the choir will be backed by an all-volunteer orchestra, drawn from the Binghamton Community Orchestra, and soloists, chosen from the Madrigal Choir and community. Bruce Borton will conduct, with Jean Henssler at the organ, Tim Smith on harpsichord and Tony Godoy as first trumpeter. The sing-along is free, but participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW).
