More than 15 local restaurants came together for the first ever “Souper Hero Sunday”

Chefs from Greater Binghamton restaurants donated soups to CHOW (Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse) at AtomicToms Sunday afternoon.

The event was open to the public and  attendees brought  donation for CHOW. There was live music, along with a Soup contest with local celebrity taste testers.

“The goal is to get some finished product out to those that are hungry for the winter. So we coordinated with CHOW to make this event happen and we’ve called it our soup-er hero event,” said event coordinator Michelle Bank.

All of the participating restaurants brought 4 gallons of soup. The Colonial, Phantom Chef Catering and Social on State were among the participants.
