On Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m., the Binghamton Police Reform & Reinvention Collaborative will be hosting a virtual outreach meeting for local faith organizations. The purpose of the meeting is to solicit input from members of the local faith community regarding improvements and/or reforms to the Binghamton Police Department.

The City formed the Collaborative in accordance with Gov. Cuomo’s Executive Order 203, and the steering committee held its first meeting last night.

Tuesday’s meeting with local faith leaders is one of six meetings planned with different constituency groups (neighborhood groups, community advocacy groups, etc.). You can learn more about the Collaborative here:  http://www.binghamton-ny.gov/2021-binghamton-police-reform-reinvention-collaborative

To participate in Tuesday’s meeting, please register by emailing BPDCollaborative@cityofbinghamton.com. Written comment can also be submitted via that email if you can’t attend the virtual meeting.
