We want to share with you an important development at the Council of Churches. We recognize the importance of providing our supporters, volunteers and friends easy access to information on happenings at the Council. Our website is a principal media for accomplishing this and we have just completed a major upgrade of our site to make it easier for you to read and navigate our web pages. You can now access www.broomecouncil.net on any of your electronic devices and you will receive our content in a format designed to fit your PC, tablet or phone, without unnecessary scrolling or changing image size.

We invite you to visit the site to see how easy it is to watch our new 90 second introductory video describing the major programs of the Council and to learn more about:

  • Council mission and Community Impact
  • CHOW and Broome Bounty
  • Faith in Action Volunteers
  • Hospital Ministry
  • Jail Ministry
  • Encounter TV and Radio Programming

You can also quickly learn more about the volunteer opportunities within our programs and how you can donate to the Council and any of its specific areas of service to the Broome County community. A calendar of upcoming Council happenings is available so you never have to miss an opportunity to be a participant in our many events.

Serving our neighbors in need since 1941, the Broome County Council of Churches is an organization that collaborates with many groups and other non-profit organizations of the community to serve people with unmet needs. Through our growing and diverse programs, the Council provides services to the hungry; elderly and lonely; disabled; sick; imprisoned; homeless and poor; and youth of Broome County.

We advocate for change and reconciliation, promoting peace, justice, and genuine community across racial, ethnic, gender, socio-economic, and religious lines. We strive to be a catalyst for demonstrating love to all our neighbors.
