For its holiday community service project, the Binghamton Rotary Club raised more than $1,500 for Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW).
In addition to a total donation of $1,551, the Rotary Club also donated 171 pounds of food.
Executive Director of the Broome County Council of Churches, Rev. Dr. Joseph Sellepack, expressed his gratitude to the Rotary Club.
“The shelf-stable food and baby formula were a godsend. Combined with the money for food purchases will result in over 5,000 meals. This was an amazing tribute to the spirit of Rotary and generosity,” said Sellepack.
CHOW serves communities across Broome County with the goal of making emergency food available to people requiring short-term assistance.
