The Jail Ministry exists to be a believable and effective witness pointing to God’s unconditional love as a source of emotional and spiritual renewal for those affected by the criminal justice system.

1,200 people receive services each year

24/7 availability for on-call chaplains

200 children connected with parents each year

1,800 cards and gifts distributed each holiday season

700 people receiving planning services each year

Jail Ministry

Supports individuals impacted by the criminal justice system and their families by providing worship services, pastoral care, recovery groups, advocacy, and release-planning services.

Spiritual Support

Available through chaplain visits, individual pastoral counseling, worship and Bible study opportunities, and interfaith religious accommodations.

Family Literacy Program

Records those who are incarcerated reading a book that their children receive. This program helps families to reconnect while also improving literacy.

Around Christmas Time

Individuals who are incarcerated receive Christmas cards and small gifts from the Jail Ministry. Children also receive gifts from their parents involved with the criminal justice system.

Re-entry Program

Provide planning services as well as hygiene items, clothes, and bus passes to assist returning citizens often released with few resources in this transition.
