Faith in Action Volunteers, a program of the Broome County Council of Churches, has been helping older adults in our community remain independent and healthy for over 20 years.  Our services include transportation for medical appointments, grocery shopping and companionship and basic household help for the homebound.

We also manage several community programs such as Ramp It Up to provide home access to those in wheelchairs, Senior Living Ministry to provide church services for those in nursing homes and Chop & Chat to fight food insecurity and social isolation among seniors in our community.

Southern Tier Tuesdays is an opportunity to help fund our program so we may continue to deliver these much needed services as the senior population continues to grow.

Beginning this Sunday, December 15th, you can go to this website https://southerntiertuesdays.com/ and vote once a day for Faith in Action Volunteers.  Voting will end on Thursday, December 19th.  If we receive the most votes, we will be given $2,000 to help with operating expenses.

Please take a minute during the next week to vote for our program.  The older adults in our community, and all of us at Faith in Action Volunteers, thank you for your support!
