Community members donated more than two tons of food items to help those facing food insecurity this holiday season.
During the annual Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse, or CHOW’s, annual Food-a-Bago campaign, 10,238 pounds of food were donated, along with $11,175 in monetary donations, which organizers said will provide more than 64,000 meals for families in Broome County.
CHOW representatives said that the donations have helped them restock warehouse shelves and replenish local food pantries.
